Sonamu

The children and I decided to celebrate Bhavna’s milestone 40th birthday with a unique food experience and Sonamu was the perfect choice. What an incredible time we had at this authentic Korean-style restaurant. The Korean BBQ was such a highlight, especially getting to grill our own food at our own pace. There was a great selection of meat cuts, beautifully prepared prawns, and tasty vegetable side dishes, including two portions of their delicious Korean salad. Everything was truly amazing for me and the family. To top it off, we enjoyed some sushi combos that were absolutely excellent and a wonderful dessert ice cream with Chocolate Spring rolls. Our waiter, Tau, was warm, attentive, and pleasant throughout, and another Korean staff member also assisted with clearing and cleaning, adding to the overall fantastic experience. We genuinely enjoyed ourselves and will definitely consider returning in the future. Went with a group of friends. Staff were very professional and helpful. It was our first time, they showed us everything we need to do. Korean BBQ was such a great experience all the sides and meats were amazing. Just one thing the sausage is quite sweet and can be overpowering. Otherwise great food overall

I think it’s fair to say that food can be a form of travelling, and since I can’t visit Korea in person, trying Korean BBQ felt like the next best thing. You get to braai your own meat on a small portable gas stove, paired with a variety of fresh veggies. By far, one of my favourite dining experiences!
